Is the heat getting to you? Come and escape the blistering heat of the desert to the lush beautiful trees of the North. Under the brilliant blue sky and cool temperatures, Ered Sul invites you to celebrate the Barony’s Sweet 16th Birthday and cheer on the combatants for the Baronial Championships. This will include Archery, Rapier and Hardsuit. The hardsuit fighting has added two new Baronial positions, the Standard Bearer and Executioner.
Once the champions are decided and the sun slowly descends upon us, the evening celebration will commence. The evenings will consist of a desert ‘potluck’ revel and a Belly Dancing contest. Prizes will be award for the best overall dancer and the best team dancers.
The location for this fun filled weekend is the same place as last year. The Willard Springs (Blow Out Tank) site opens at 3 p.m. Friday, July 13 and closes 5 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012.
Site is wet. Camping allowed with PROPANE FIRE PITS ONLY. Bring your own drinking water as none is available on site. Kingdom minor curfew is in effect. Pets are welcome but they must be on leashes and you must clean up after your pet. Smoking is permitted subject to Forest Service restrictions.
Site Fees: Adult member $10, Adult non-member $15, Youth 8-12 $5, Children under 8 free.
Directions: From the South, take I-17 north to Willard Springs (Exit 326). From the North, take I-17 south to Willard Springs (Exit 326). Follow the paved road, bearing right past the refuse transfer station approximately ½ mile to Blowout Tank meadow (on the right). There will be SCA signs.
